What is WALLOPWare?
WALLOPWare is rather old and outdated educational software written by a teacher in the early nineties. You can download it for free from this web site. The aim was to create computer programs which could support one lesson at a time. It was also created to improve the experience for students when I struggled through the lessons which I found hard to teach. I have worked as an IT consultant (currently for IBM) for eight years but in July 2004 I returned to teaching. I find that I hardly use my programs in school now, but leave this site up for old times sake.
Key thoughts behind WALLOPWare:
- Programs are made up of simple tasks that can easily be completed in one lesson.
- Programs replace lessons I found rather dry to teach. e.g. the rock cycle.
- Often WALLOPWare will lock the student out of the software, and insist they ask the teacher what to do next.

All of my software is free to register now. Why not get a password now?
People still register every year. I used to provide a list of people who registered but it is over 1000 now and who knows how or if they use it!
My software is free because I never get time to program these days, and want teachers to use my software for the good of their sanity and of their pupils' education.
